Winnie the Pooh & Sophie Too!!!!

Winnie the Pooh made a special appearance at Barnes and Noble Sunday for his 60th Birthday... As you can see, Sophie is thrilled. She received a valentine from pooh bear and also made her mommy a very sweet valentine...

Peanut, Peanut Butter & Jelly

First you spread the peanut butter and then the jelly...
My favorite part taking a bite of my masterpiece...

Sophia's favorite food is sushi rolls (aka peanut butter and jelly cut up in little rolls) The other day she came up to me and ask if she could make herself a sandwich. I told her, I would and she informed me she could do it all by herself. So here are a few pictures of Sophie making PB&J..

Well, my little artist! Crayola color wonder finger paint, Sophie and the dog what do you get when you put them together... Beautiful artwork stuck to my new painted walls. Oh I should have taken a picture. I was getting ready for a get together at my house and I was vacumming. When Frank asked me if I had Sophie's artwork stuck to the entry hall wall for a reason. I know, I looked at him like what are you talking about. Their you have it my daughter's beautiful art work on my walls. Should of I gotten mad or upset? Maybe but you know what, instead I laughed and thought how lucky, I am to be able to witness the innocence of my child.

When you come to our house, we will greet you with merlot

What a busy weekend. Since Angie's mom took ill we did not go to Charlotte. Instead, I got a wild hair and recruited Frank and mom in assisting with painting the entry way and hall. (Guess what color the entry way is) yes Merlot. We will greet you with merlot... Beautiful.. I am so happy with my color choice. The wall looks like red leather. The hall is painted a heavy cream and also looks so nice. Home improvements done, dinning room, entry way, hall, accent wall in living room, bathroom and our bedroom. Yet to do, living room, kitchen and Mimi room.
We are counting the days before we head to Illinois to visit Bob. I am so excited, Fern and the girls, not sure if Tom is coming with them, will becoming down to have lunch with us. Fern is my goodness, I have no idea third counsin on my grandpa's side. She is an amazing lady. She has three biological girls and when they started high school she adopted Colene and Ashlee. Fern has been so supported to us during Sophia's adoption, she has no idea how nice it was to talk to someone in the family whom had adopted before. It will be such a treat to have lunch with her family....

Sophia went with her dad today to the book store for Winnie Pooh story hour with a special appearance from the bear. She mad a cute valentine for me. I will keep it forever..

I hope everyone had a great weekend..

Curve in the Road

Thursday night Ang and I were on the phone discussing our travel plans for this weekend. I had another call and called Angie back and in that 20 minute time span her mom was rushed to the hospital. She is doing fine now, but we chose to stay near this weekend. Hopefully, the girls will hit NC next weekend. Please say a few prayers this weekend for Mrs. Q

Sophie is loving her new puppy dog... Last night, it was so funny to watch the two of them run around the house. Nemo has now discovered chasing Willie the cat around the house. I am not sure why the cat does not run and hide.. Here is fun picture of Nemo having tea... I had to finally take the tea set away since water was all over my living room.

Watch Out NC Here We Come

We are going on a road tripppp.. Yahoo... 2 adults, 2 toddlers and a 8 year old. Should make for interesting 6 hour probably like 8 after all the potty stops trip... Angie thank you for inviting us, I am in count down mode. I will post pictures and stories when we get back.
The puppy is doing great. Spoiled Rotten is what we should have named her. She gets really jealous when Sophie plays with anything but her.
The cats are adjusting well. I had the two cats and dog sitting together earlier, how I did it the good ole American way...
Food!
Mimi is still here, kept saying if we get a dog she was moving out. Well it didn't work guess we better get a mouse. ( I am only joking) My mom is a great help and we love having her here!

And Nemo is Her Name....

Sophie with Nemo in her cage...

Watching Wow Wow Wubzy

Lots of hugs...

The puppy is here, she arrived late last night and met Miss Sophie this morning. Sophie and Nemo are getting along, but it has taken some warming up. She told the dog this afternoon, that Berkley the cat was still her best friend. The puppy could care less about the cats, the cats are ready for a fight and our bit upset that the dog looks at them and falls asleep. My issue is the barking right now, while evryone is sleeping in my house.. She is in her doggy cage. Wake up Sophie and their will be war Nemo, I say War....

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MIMI: ANOTHER GREAT YEAR...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MIMI!

IT HAS BEEN A GREAT YEAR..

This morning we went out to breakfast at Ramsey's. Thank you Bob for a great brunch, wish you were here with us...

Mimi went to work, Frank, Sophie and I went to Fresh Market bought a cake and took it to her work for her Birthday. I was (being the key word) going to make her favorite dish Penne Ala Vodka (lost my rec. if anyone has it please forward) So we went to Chili's instead. Sophie had a great time, when the waiter brought the desert. Carmel, hotfudge ice cream Sundae! Sophie ate majority of it by herself. Boy what a mess.

We had a wonderful time as we always do when we go out.

Thank you mom for everything you do for us. You are more appreciated then you will ever know..

Favorite Foto Friday & A Shout Out

Uncle Brian, Auntie Rita and Sophie

This is one of my f.f.f.!

I love it because it shows how much our lives circle around this sweet little girl in our life. The photo was taken in Fort Worth last April at my sister in laws wedding. Brain (her husband was giving a toast and Miss Sophie runs right up to her Auntie Rita). Of course, I was up chasing her and Aunt Rita grabbed her and everyone proceeded with the toast.

Today, I spent most of the day cleaning the basement, still have alot left to do, but I am getting their. Sophie is still fascinated with the cat food dish and water dish. All of sudden, this has sparked her interest. I found a plastic peep swimming in the water dish today. I took a photo and will down load tomorrow.

I would also like to Shout WELCOME Home Corey and Sarah.... Whew what a long process! Home safe and sound... LOL of to your family...

Did those words really come out of my mouth???

Today, I stopped in mid senteced and shook my head. Did I really, say these words to my child...

1. No the cat does not want his butt wiped with a diaper wipe
2. Please do not put your rubber ducky in the cats water dish
3. Don't event think about wiping the cats butt with the diaper wipe
4. I just said please do not give me attitude to a two year old. Good god what is wrong with me..
5. Please do not put cat food in your sippy cup
6. Lets not play tea party with the cat's water
7. Not a great idea to take ice cubes out of my cola and throw them at the cat

And yes, I have moved the cat's water and food dishes several times...

Boy, I can't wait till we get a dog.

I did not take any photo's today, hopefully tomorrow.

Girlfriends...

Girlfriends...
Girls having fun...

Today has been much better. Sophia is feeling better and almost back to her normal self. Last week, Kassidy came over to play at our house. The girls went down stairs in the playroom to play. When I checked on them shortly after they had no clothes on and were dressing up in princess clothes. Since, Kas's mommy is a mellow mom as myself, I thought the girls would like to play with play make up and boy did they love it. Here are a few of my favorite pics from the day.

Kas and her family will be moving to South Carolina soon. They are a great family, so if

any of you Guat moms are from that area let me know, you cannot help but love Angie and her fam. Our family will sooooo miss them...

It is a bit hard imagining not having the C family at birthdays, zoo outtings, adoption support meetings and play dates. We have become close over the last few years. We follwed their case with Kas almost year to date in 05. The girls even had the same foster family and kicked out of pgn at the same time. We are so happy for their move and know we will have great vacations in S.C. We love you guys.

For Stella and John...

Christmas morning at our house...

Stylin Grandpa John's hair with her new princess hair dryer...

Wild Child

I am sure more people read my blog than I realize. For certain, I know Stella reads my blog everyday for a Sophie fix. When they are at their house in KY we go over to their house at least once a day, sometimes, I am afraid they may get sick of seeing us. My Sophie adores them and most important they adore her too. So Stella after waiting so patiently, here are the pictures you have been waiting for. LOL

Today, I took Sophie to the doctor she is sick with a bad cold or virual infection. We are watching her to make sure it does not get any worse. She is feeling a bit better. I am dragging today, since Sophie was up most of the night coughing with a fewer. Hopefully, tonight will be better.

I hope everyone is having a great New Year. The L family is doing well. I am officially a stay at home mommy and loving every minute of it. I will admit it has taken some adjusting. I have been with my job for four years and the pace of staying at home is taking some adjusting. We are doing well with a night time routine, but need some improvement in the day time area. I have not ventured out of bed real early lately... If you walked in my house today, you would think, I am never home. This week, we are getting on a schedule. We are having a lot of fun with play dates and toddler time at the local book store. Sophie is currently sick. I am going to take her to the doctor tomorrow. She is having some troubles breathing and coughing. Poor baby. Tonight she said mommy, I am not feeling real well. Poor kid.

The cowboys lost, poor Frank. He is a die hard cowboy fan....

HAPPY LATE NEW YEAR

Well it has been a busy start to the New Year. We are doing great and loving staying at home with Sophia. I will admit it is taking a bit of getting used too. I have worked for so long and my cell phone has been sooo quiet, with out the work calls. Don't get me wrong it has still rang with work calls even though, I am not working. Sophia is loving that her mommy is at home. We are becoming regulars at story time and senior shopping discount days, compliments of nona and papa. I have become a great coupon cutter and baker, play date arranger and most of all receiver of more hugs and kisses than I have ever gotten before. So the New Year is treating us good. Frank is still working nights and it sucks. But staying home is giving us more family time. And that is a great thing.
We are planning a trip to visit my dad aka Bob in Feb. and maybe March for Grandma G's birthday party. HOpe everyone is having a great new year.
I would also like to apologize for not responding to comments over November and December. It was a bit crazy at the store.... SOme new bloggers left comments thank you so much and please leave more so I can visit your blogs.

I am need to update my Christmas photo's. Last time I tried, well something went hay wire. I will work on it this week.
Em if you read this I cannot post a comment on your blog. Call me or e-mail me please...
