She loves nature, we have given her a box called the treasure box
she puts all her treasures from her walk in the box by the front step.
Grandpa John's Cutie!

Hello blogger friends. It has been awhile. Why you ask, well I work at toy store and believe it or not the holidays are getting close. Deadlines for bookings, invites to be sent, travel, travel and more travel in my future. No complaints, I love my job. I have great flexibility and the best store director and dm a mom could ask for. This week, I went to Youngstown, Ohio a 5 1/2 hour trip. No more about me, this is Sophia's Blog

First: Miss Sophie says Thank you Tim and Emily for the Bengals outfit. She looks so cute in it. I promise pictures this weekend.

Sophia looked at me last night and said mommy you are my best friend. I almost cried. Actually, I think I did. I take after my Aunt Nancy.

Second: Sophia made her first long distance phone call all by herself today. She called counsin Di in Illinois. I guess she hit her name on Mimi's cell and called her.

Third: Sophia is counting really well. English and spanish. I am so proud of her. I asked her tonight, what comes after eight. Mommy nine.

Sophia is getting so big and her vocabulary is great. We are really proud of her.
This weekend is Oktoberfest at the church. I am so excited. I am dead on feet tired. I have more to post, but I am going to sleep.

Good night.

Favorite Photo Friday And A Bit Pist Off!

I love this Photo of Sophia. It shows her fun and crazy personality. She is truely a blessing and I love being her mommy.

For the Pist Off Part:

A. My morning was great, Sophie and I hung out at the mall. Daddy met us at lunch time and I went to work.

B. Work for two hours was well a bit crazy, not stressful, crazy in my office. I promised myself I would not blog about work, so I will leave it at that. Everything turned out for the best.

C. Traffic, Traffice. What the he-- It is not Christmas time, so why the he-- did it take me 10 minutes to get out of the TRU parking lot on to Nicholasville Rd. No idea. We have a complete traffic jam, and the jerk behind me feels it will help if he lays on his horn. Yes, very effective sir. It made my car and all 500 cars on Nich. Rd totally take off like a jet. Good gried.

D. Frank was trying to tell me a story on the cell phone and I could not hear him from the music of the ahole behind me. Remind you I see my husband myabe 30 minutes a day, since he works 2nd. I am not whining.

E. Mystery Meal:
Where do I start. Well I am patiently, yes patiently waiting for our food. And the smart ass who ever what ever he was doing looks at the nice cashier woman and says look with his fingers and fun moves you take order you run your food I don't do it. Making her feel like an idiot and she was doing a fine job. Then it happen smart ass boy takes the grilled chicken wrap off my tray, puts another one on my plate and says drive through is more important. Ok first big mouth me says didn't you say she had to do your running. Yes, Ok so give me my food back. Which was the wrong damn food. He deceides to yell at me in the rest. and tell me I was being well I am not really sure. Oh ya my favorite as I was walking away he says to customers she must be really hungry! I told him nicely to be mature and tell me things to my face. I had to return my food for being wrong and then customer tells me I am bitch. I don't think so. He gets in my face and his friend who was very nice told him he needed to respect his elders. Ok don't really like being called elder but at this point any respect will do me justice. The dumb what ever he was doing, yells to the back of the rest. Hey mgr. lady is going a wall up here. So I told him hey. Have respect, You embrassed your co workers you are making a fool out of yourself , have respect, yes I may not know hip hop yes I did say that, but I am intelligent and treat me like I am not dumb middle aged woman. Looking at me with his mouth hung open like I hit him with a bat the nice cashier lady who is older than me says thank you., After thinking about this. Yes, I overreacted, but it was how he was talking to her, like she did not understand english and it was perfect. It really hit home, I felt like being a mom with a daughter from Guat. It was my right to stand up for her. She was being treated by a young kid who needed a slap on the ass.
Thanks Michelle Smiles for giving me the courage to blog. I love your stories and they make me smile. Sabrina is so lucky you are her mommy.

Missing Grandpa

Lately, I have been thinking alot about my grandpa. He was such a joy and till this day, I don't know one person who did not love him. I found this picture on my computer. It was taken five years ago this January at our wedding reception weekend at my moms, during brunch. He was having a great day. I often hope, when I am gone people will think of me the way they think of my grandpa. Happy, fun, loving, joker, full of life, thought of other people first and most of all when I think of him I smile. I miss him so very much. I know Sophia would have loved him. For the first time tonight she really looked at his picture. I said grandpa muir, she repeated and muir that me. She understood, that she was named after him. It made me smile. lol good night.

Where Have We Been Up to Lately:

Feeding the ducks!
You can't catch me.

Yep I got away!

The sleeping Prince! This is what happens when Sophie falls asleep in mommy and daddy's bed and daddy sleeps in sophie's bed. Personally, I love the crown.

I apologize to all our loyal blog readers, that I have not posted for awhile. I am starting to head into season at work and I have been traveling some and it looks like it is only going to get busier.

Frank celebrated his birthday. We had a great celebration. Sophia gave her daddy breakfast in bed, we fed the ducks and bought him a Kissalogy dvd.

One of Frank's favorite things to do is bowling. So we took Sophie to the alley one night. She had a blast.

Our drive is finished and looks wonderful. I am starting to count down the days until my dad comes for the winter. He is really going to be a great help with Sophie this season. If you do not know, we are going through some adjustments at our house. Frank has started working second shift. I realize, many people work this shift, but I will be honest and say it is taking a toll on our house hold. I feel we are really trying hard to keep Sophia's schedule normal. My mom, Stella or myself take her daycare and Frank picks her up around two and spends 2 hours with her playing. This way she still gets her nap at the sitters. We are so blessed with Wavelene. She is so easy to work with and has been a great support system for our family. She is the all american grandma.

I am praying everyday that Mya Grace is out of pgn. Emily I hope you enjoy the Sophie cuteness. I love the pics of Mya.

FYI, I was having computer issues last week.

One more thing on sad news. Many of my readers know my grandma. My grandpa (past away a two years ago) had a dog named buffy. Buffy came to us from a pound that all the dogs were in fire a few months after Buffy was given to our family. To let you know how old the dog was, I was 12 or 13 we estimated he was 133 years old in doggy years was put to sleep on Monday. He just could not handle life anymore. He could not see, walk or hear. He really went down hill after my grandpa past away. My gran is doing well. My aunt on the other hand well she was bit dramatic, but she is doing well. Di you better not tell her I said that or Howie.

In mom news she is doing well. Her work is great and loves her job. She cannot wait till dad gets here for the fall/winter. We are really hoping Diane and John (hint) come for a visit this fall.

Lots of Love
